From the heat index outside it’s hard to believe that the lazy days of summer are almost gone and the fall season is approaching.

As I walked up and down the aisles at Target shopping for the items on Ryan’s school supply list, I reminisced about the fun things we did this summer.  We’ve spent countless hours splashing around in the pool and grilling out with friends.  One of my favorite summer days was spent relaxing while floating down the Chattahoochee River near the Buford Dam and I can’t forget the Father’s Day picnic we had at Poole’s Mill Park.  Forsyth County is full of outdoor activities to fit anyone’s interest.

This month we introduce to you a new page titled Summer Fun that includes pictures of people enjoying their summer days.  I encourage you to email me your back to school pictures to be printed on next month’s Back to School page.  Next month we plan to re-add the School News and School Sports section and ask that you begin sending information for this section again.  The Teen Scene section began at the beginning of the summer to temporarily replace the school section of the magazine, but its popularity has won a permanent place for each month’s edition.

Until next month….keep cool!
